ABOUT US AND WHAT WE DO

About Axiom Events
Axiom Events is a Springfield, Missouri–based sports and events organization using competition, connection, and community to fuel real impact in the 417 area and beyond. We bring people together through adult flag football, social sports, and cause-driven tournaments that are as well-run as they are memorable.

Our Story
Axiom Events began as a simple idea: use the energy of game day to do something bigger than the scoreboard. What started as a side project has grown into a recurring calendar of tournaments and community events that raise funds and awareness for organizations such as Care to Learn, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Missouri State Lacrosse, 417 Youth Lacrosse, and multiple local high school athletic programs.

Founded by Kane Albertson, a long-time Springfield resident, Axiom has spent more than a decade strengthening Springfield and southwest Missouri through connection, competition, and cause driven giving.

From the beginning, the goal has been simple: build events people love that also deliver measurable value back to the community.

What We Do
Axiom Events creates and hosts high energy sports experiences for adults and the broader community, including:

  • Adult Flag Football – competitive and recreational 7v7 tournaments and 5v5 leagues that draw teams from across the region.

  • Classic Dodgeball – fast-paced, throwback fun designed for teams who want to compete hard and laugh hard.

  • 3v3 Basketball – halfcourt games that keep the ball in play and players constantly engaged.

  • Other Sports – we are always on the lookout for other sports to add to our portfolio.

  • Custom Social & Fundraising Events – tailored competitions and community gatherings that help companies, nonprofits, and athletic programs raise support in a fresh, accessible way.

Every event is built with two non-negotiables:
1. Create standout experience for players, fans, and volunteers.
2. Generate tangible support—funds, awareness, and new advocates—for local causes and programs.

How We Work
Behind each Axiom event is a disciplined, professional approach to planning and execution. Kane’s background in Program Management shapes how Axiom operates: clear strategy, detailed show of plans, and consistent standards for participant experience.

Over the years, Axiom has built a repeatable framework for:

  • Recruiting and supporting sponsors

  • Engaging local non-profit organizations

  • Coordinating facility partners

  • Training and leading volunteers and event staff

We treat every event like a business—managing budgets carefully, tracking results, and holding ourselves accountable for producing the highest quality of events and community impact.

Community Impact
Axiom Events was built to give back first.

Each tournament or league is a vehicle to:

  • Raise funds and awareness for nonprofits and school programs

  • Introducing new donors, fans, and advocates to important causes

  • Give local athletes and community members a front row seat to what row seat to what service-minded leadership looks like in action

Over the years, Axiom events have helped support:

  • Care to Learn – meeting the basic needs of local students so they can focus on learning.

  • American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – bringing hope, connection, and resources to families and individuals affected by suicide.

  • Missouri State Lacrosse, 417 Youth Lacrosse, and local high school athletic programs – offsetting travel, equipment, and program costs so more kids can play and compete.

Just as important as the dollars raised is the leadership pipeline these events create. Volunteers who started at a registration table or on the scoreboard have stepped into roles managing planning, sponsorships, and communications, while participants see firsthand how a weekend of competition can fuel something bigger than the game itself.

Why It Matters
We believe sports are one of the most accessible entry points into community life. Not everyone will attend a formal fundraiser—but they will suit up, bring their friends, and show up to compete, cheer, and give. When that energy is channeled with intention, a single weekend can change someone’s trajectory, whether it is a child whose basic needs are met or a team that can keep their season alive.

Axiom Events exists to make those ripple effects possible, repeatedly.
